LOVED BY DOGS, TRUSTED BY THEIR HUMANS
A Review from Manos’ Dad
My pup Manos has been staying at Staycation Club for Dogs regularly for over a year now and they have been the best. They care for and treat my 9 year old dog as if he were their own. Manos requires some special care due to his age and some medical issues from prior knee surgeries and cancer treatments. But, they handle all his needs with so much individual care.
I've had a couple other "doggy daycare" businesses watch Manos but they were a completely different business model. They would watch numerous other dogs at a time and the environment was bordering chaotic. Manos was stressed and it was not a great experience for him.
At Staycation Club for Dogs though, Manos has access to their home both indoors and outdoors. There's clean water throughout the property and inside there's AC and plenty of areas to just chill. They have treats available too if you authorize it! Marissa and Michael are great about giving all the guests plenty of love and attention through belly rubs, ear massages, or treat games. The backyard is clean and has plenty of areas for scent searching, shaded resting, sun worshipping, and gentle play.
They do an excellent job screening all of the dogs, making sure that they're calm and welcoming towards other dogs. Although there's always a chance of personality conflicts, Marissa and Michael watch their guests closely and make sure that all guests are in line with their code of conduct. We've never had a bad behavior incident there with another dog, so I think that speaks to their screening and their oversight. They make sure that all of the dogs are on their best behavior.
They're really great at giving reports on request, and they regularly send pictures, video, and updates on how Manos is doing. Sometimes, if all of the dogs are capable, they will take them on walks and adventures to a local park or dog-friendly space.
At this point, I'm very protective of Manos and I'll only leave him with a very few select individuals. But, I have no hesitation or worries about Manos staying at Staycation Club for Dogs, whether it's for a day or for an extended amount of time. In fact, there are times when I'll have him stay there just for the change of pace for Manos and for building his social skills and confidence. I really feel that it's super healthy for him to stay there and have that "staycation" experience with his extended family.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Staycation Club for Dogs for any dog parents looking for a place to take their cherished pup.
