Our story
It all started with our special needs dog and a trip abroad.
Staycation Club for Dogs was born out of our love for our senior dog, Maddie. Before a long trip to Northern Spain, we struggled to find a place that truly understood her needs. Once full of energy, she’d become rear paralyzed with Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) and needed constant comfort and care.
We know from experience that not every dog thrives in a high-energy boarding environment. For dogs with special needs, or those who prefer the comforts of home and the company of humans, we wanted to provide a better option.
Staycation Club for Dogs brings together our immense love for dogs, home and travel. We’re here to give your dog the most love ever and be the people we needed when we were on vacation!
Meet Bluey, our resident house hippo
What started as a temporary stay for Bluey—a rescue from Passion for Pitties—quickly turned into a forever home. It didn’t take long for him to steal our hearts (and our bed!).
He instantly bonded with Maddie just a few months before she passed, and from that moment, we knew he was meant to stay.
With his stocky, muscular build, he might look like all brawn, but underneath it all, he’s the sweetest, most lovable softy. Always ready to snuggle, Bluey makes every dog feel right at home at the club!
Meet Birdie, Bluey’s sister
Birdie came to us as Francis—a rescue from Passion for Pitties with bright eyes and a heart ready to love. She had just given birth and needed a calm place to heal.
Within days, she’d made herself at home, curling up beside Bluey like she’d been here all along. The moment we started dreaming up new names for her, we knew we couldn’t let her go.
Birdie completes our family! She’s playful, loving and kind. Here’s to her limitless potential and all the ways she’ll soar! 💛
Our first small pack
Molly and Maddie set the foundation for what this business is today. Instant companions from the day we rescued them to the day Molly crossed the rainbow bridge. Dogs are undoubtedly the most wonderful beings in existence and we have dedicated our lives to caring for them. It would be our greatest honor to care for yours!
